LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

PRESIDENT-ELECT

One position open

2-year term as President-Elect; 2-year term as President

The duties of the President-Elect shall be to assist the President as needed, preside at all meetings in the absence of the President, and perform such other duties as usually pertain to this office. The President-Elect will rotate to the office of President after their term as President-Elect.

The duties of the President shall be to preside over meetings of the membership, represent the Academy before professional and lay groups, oversee the administrative functions of the Academy between meetings of the membership, and perform such other duties as usually pertain to this office.

SECRETARY/TREASURER

One position open

2-year term

The duties of the Secretary/Treasurer shall be to keep the records of all transactions and meetings of the Academy, notify all members of the time, place, and agenda of all meetings of the Academy, conduct the correspondence of the Academy, and keep copies of all official letters and replies to same, perform such other duties as usually pertain to this office.

DISTRICT TRUSTEE

Four positions available: Districts: Northern, Eastern, Western and Central

2-year term

 The duties of the District Trustees shall be to organize and preside over meetings of the membership in their district, notify the President of members' concerns, attend yearly Board of Directors meetings, provide an avenue for member professional development within the district.

SSPD BOARD DIRECTOR (LIAISON)

One position available

3-year term (2025-2028)

The Director is required to attend an in-person Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry (SSPD) Board meeting each January in conjunction with the SSPD Annual CE meeting in Atlanta, GA. Directors are required to present a state report at the meeting. Directors can volunteer to serve on SSPD sub-committees.
